Morgan Goetting VP of The Patrol Fund

Morgan goetting

Vice President

Morgan Goetting moved to Whitefish for the ‘97/’98 winter, to spend some time in the snow before moving on and getting “A Real Job”. Whitefish has been home ever since. Morgan is a professional ski patroller at Whitefish Mountain Resort during the winter months and has a landscape gardening business the rest of the year. Morgan still enjoys spending time in the mountains be it snow or dirt.

Ryan Friel The Patrol Fund President

Ryan Friel

President

President Friel loves ski patrol and would choose skiing over fishing as he thinks he will be able to fish long after he has forgotten how to pole plant.

Ali good

Treasurer

Ali feels fortunate to have called the Flathead Valley home for over 20 years. In her free time, she loves to hike, backpack, ski, and bike with her family and friends. She is also a self-confessed crossword puzzle addict.

Mike Block

Secretary

He just can't give it up, 30 plus years patrolling at Whitefish Mountain Resort and an independent cabinet maker by trade. Mike is one of the founders of The Patrol Fund and a co-founder of FOFAC, helping to bring avalanche education to the Flathead. Mike enjoys biking, canoeing, and skiing on his days off.

TED STEINER

Education Coordinator

Ted has been professionally employed in the avalanche safety arena since the mid-1980s. Over the years he’s worked as a ski patroller, forecaster, and educator.

Currently, Ted is employed as an avalanche safety specialist with Dave Hamre and Associates, LLC with work focused on industrial-based risk management.

Ted also volunteers with the Friends of the Flathead Avalanche Center, instructs avalanche safety courses with The Patrol Fund, and is a lifetime professional member of the American Avalanche Association.

Ally Withey

Sales Manager

Like most Flathead Valley natives, I thoroughly enjoy my time outside because why else would anyone want to live here? Sweaty ski clothes, musty horse blankets and stinky Chacos really get me going. Other than that, I spend my time managing my family’s health food store and keeping my 1 1/2 year old from doing permanent damage to herself or getting arrested.

teal gayner

Board Member

Teal was raised in Whitefish along with her three younger sisters. She started skiing at the age of 3. Her parents were amazing and fun role models, as her mom was on the US Telemark Team and her dad spent 40 years as a ski patroller. Teal ski patrolled for 5 years but is now pursuing her dreams of geology in the Flathead Valley. You can still find her connected to the mountain, skiing on weekends, and occasionally at the Wednesday night Frabert.

Marchard Logan Board Member of the Patrol Fund

Marchand Logan

Board Member

Marchand spent 13 years as a ski patroller at Whitefish Mountain Resort, where she has been skiing since first learning to ski as a kid. She started her involvement with The Patrol Fund as the merchandise manager, moved to treasurer, then finally a board member after retiring from ski patrol. Since switching career paths, she now explores the outdoors with her young daughter. Proud to be part of such a great community, Marchand also is part of the Flathead County Crisis Support Team, which helps first responders all over the valley with traumatic events.
